A poor service night

It was Carl's Jr, Sweet Martini, Bak Chor Mee and Or Luak the night after Fish & Co and IndoChine. How unhealthy. Esp Carl's Jr. Ha. Never really liked fast food, & the beefy burger has made me feel fat for 2 days already. Service was quite bad too. They run out of small-size cups and made me pay 20 cents more to upgrade to a medium size cup. It isnt the 20 cents, it's the thought of me having to pay for their poor supply chain mgmt and inadequacy. I have already feedback that to the boy who took the orders from me. Ha. But he's so young, not sure if he'll feedback to the mgmt.


So mao and I took our slightly more expensive cups to get drinks after taking our orders. We decided we would prefer home-made ice tea to soft drinks. To our dismay, the lemons had already ran out and the boy who happened to be refilling the tea then told us to wait for a while for the lemons. We stood at the counter for quite a while to wait for our lemons. There were a few older men who were the supervisors (or the bosses. whatever) standing behind the counter talking among themselves while looking at us all the while. In the end, mao and I got uncomfortable with the looking and decided we shall go back to our seats first. What the hell! I mean, cant they see that their customers needed some help there? Why arent they helping but standing there and talk and look? Ok to give them the credit, the boy brought the lemons to our tables after that. That was nice of him. But I am still pissed with the stupid men.


And to make matters worse, the seats, table and tray were oily. Hai.. what are they doing man. Cannot make it.


After the unhealthy and fattening dinner, we went to Mt Faber. Mao wanted to take pictures of the fireworks for NDP rehearsal and sadly, the view from Mt Faber was disappointing. Esp with the kind of cameras mao and rongwei had. haha.. There was this other guy who brought his SLR and I believe his pics are going to be damn nice.


Mao & I had a nice time nuaing at Altivo after that. Not sure about Rongwei and Qiwen though. Haha. But our mood changed to anger when the bill came. The guy told us that because we were sitting on the sofa seats, we had to spend a min of $70! Our bill ony came out to $50 and so we had to order something to chalk up that $20, otherwise we'd be paying for nothing. Crap! They didnt tell us that when we changed our seats earlier on. Luckily, lessons from biz law taught us that the contract does not apply to us and immediately, we used it against Altivo. Ha. Thanks to the mao for remembering that. If not we'd have paid $20 for some stupid policy. We later learnt that the min of $70 spending only applies after 9pm. So all the more we should not pay, cos we sat there 5 mins before 9. Haha.. Heng ah.. Heng also we asked about the happy hour, and so the waiter remembered us. Nevertheless, it was still a stupid policy. People, remember not to sit at the sofa seats after 9pm unless u can chalk up at least $70!


What a night. 1 fattening dinner, 2 poor services and 1 unhealthy supper.
